once you have character and dice its time to put together where you character is from and why it is on this adventure with the others. Some times the DM/GM likes to throw the characters in together in a bar or in a fight right away. just so the characters have away to interact with each other in the story.

What is D and D
You may ask what is D and D or Dungeons&Dragons? Well D&D is a game were you invent a character by reading the players handbook. you also need to find out if the people you plan to join are playing 3.0 or 3.5. This matters because the rules of spells change and the duration of them. In D&D the character matters for in every campaign what the characters are helps the Dungeon Master or Game Master how every you want to call them plan the monsters to throws at the players. One rule that every player needs to be aware of is that rule zero the GM is god and they rule the game. I means don't make your GM/DM mad. D&D is about telling a story with real characters. The GM tells the story and throws the player in a world for them to manipulate. The best thing in D&D is no matter what you do to plan the way the game ends or begins is always different because of the live player factor there have been times when a DM/GM planed to have the players go one way and the players decide that they want to do something totally different. There was one time that the DM/GM threw a couple of large frogs at us and a Blue dragon at us and one of the characters decide to take over one of the frogs and the commence to eat the dragon. This is an achevement in its self for Blue is hard to kill for frichtful presents makes it hard to kill a dragon unless you beat it by making your will save which is a state that every character has and you roll a D20 or 20 sided dice and see if you beat the spell. once you do then you can kill the dragon just watch out for it breath weapon which is lighting ouch. But the GM/DM was surprised that we did this so anything can happen. Once you get you your character sheet and your set of 7 dices which contains one D20, one D12, two D10's, one D8, D6 and D4. Each dice is use for skills or your damage once you roll to see if you hit the monster. here is what a character sheet looks like.
